Kira is 15 years old and is  currently battling her third cancer journey with Neuroblastoma.

She recently had to travel to New York for crucial life saving surgery in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre when, after nine hours of surgery in our home hospital of Edinburgh, surgeons could not resect her tumour despite their best efforts.

"The grant from Bens Heroes Trust grant was most useful in helping to support with incidental costs of setting up life in NYC whilst over there for Kira's necessary treatment and helped allay any financial worries."
