Lucas is 5 years old. He was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma in December 2016 and has being undergoing intensive chemotherapy since then.

 

The cancer he has is an aggressive type of cancer and as such we've been told he needs to have radiotherapy to shrink the tumour to a size which can be operated on.

 

Because of his age there is a higher risk of receiving damage to his healthy cells when receiving normal radiotherapy so we were told he should have Proton Beam therapy to avoid this.
